About Us
IEMPACT, the Annual Cultural Fest of IEM, is back again with its 33rd edition. This year, we hope to celebrate IEMPACT on the theme - UNESCO World Heritage - on the occasion of Shantiniketan being declared a World Heritage site recently by UNESCO. At the Annual Cultural Fest of IEM, Salt Lake, we will bring to you a variety of events and competitions like Eastern and Western Dance, Eastern and Western Music, Quizzard, Debate, Creative Writing, Beatboxing, Futsal (football), Treasure Hunt, Face Painting, Bhuri Bhoj (a food festival) and most importantly hope and joy. We wish to see dazzling smiles on the faces of all the participants and audience members at our event as they encounter a cultural explosion of Folk Fusion like no other. Together, let us dive into a world where ektaras and khols come alive, where the heart dances with the intoxicating and inviting beats of Bihu, where folk is not just a genre, it's a rich tradition, it's an emotion, it's joy ! Eastern dance
If you carry the flavour of the Eastern culture in your 'nritya', then we have the perfect competition for you to show off your talent. IEMPACT presents Eastern Euphoria, a competition which promises to take the legacy of Eastern Dance forward. Come, join us and enchant the audience with your 'adavus' and 'mudras' as they keep pace with the rhythm of your 'ghunghru'. Keeping your poise and grace as a flurry of movements envelop you and striving to express a part of yourself throughout the process - dance might almost be an extended metaphor of life itself. Be it Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Odissi or any other form, we welcome you to dance like a flame on stage.
Futsal
The goal is to win as many of the first four matches and then go through the knock out stages. The tournament has specific rules. Get ready to score more goals than your opponent team.
